A Legacy of Charity and Giving

Growing up, I had the privilege of being raised and trained by my grandparents. Among them, my grandmother, Veronica Onyeneke alias Obidinma Nwanyioma, was a beacon of kindness and generosity. Her life was deeply grounded in the principles of charity, empathy, and service to others.

She was not content with mere words, her actions reflected her belief in the power of giving; and only after her passing did I come to realize just how much she gave and helped beyond what I ever knew or saw. Whether it was offering food to those in need, opening her home to strangers, or lending a hand to those struggling, she always found a way to uplift others. After her death and from the stories being told of her till now, I have come to understand that the true measure of a life well-lived is in the impact we have on those around us.

Her influence shaped who I am today. I have learnt that charity is not only about material gifts but also about time, love, and kindness; values that remain the foundation of my own life and work. Like the biblical lamp on a hill that cannot be hidden, her acts of charity have been passed down to her children, and thus led to the birth of the VERONICA ONYENEKE FOUNDATION.

The Veronica Onyeneke Foundation is a continuation of the work she started—serving communities, empowering individuals, and fostering a world where everyone is seen and cared for. Through the foundation, we hope to honour her memory by making a meaningful difference, just as she did throughout her life.

Her life is proof that even the simplest acts of kindness can ripple outward, touching lives in profound ways. It is our hope that the foundation will carry forward her legacy and inspire others to live with the same spirit of generosity and compassion that defined her journey.
