At
Veronica Onyeneke Foundation, we are committed to uplifting the lives of
vulnerable individuals, including children, youths, widows, and displaced
persons, by providing access to education, financial support, healthcare, and
empowerment opportunities. Inspired by the legacy of Veronica Onyeneke and
founded by Rev. Fr. Charles Onyeneke, the foundation seeks to continue her
generous spirit and compassion for the poor and marginalized.
Our
mission is to create a world where the disadvantaged are empowered to rise
above their circumstances, access quality education, build sustainable
livelihoods, and lead dignified lives. Through targeted interventions and
support, we work tirelessly to alleviate poverty and bring hope to communities
across Nigeria and Africa.
Veronica
Onyeneke Foundation is a charitable organization committed to alleviating
poverty and providing support to vulnerable individuals and communities across
Nigeria and Africa. Established by Rev. Fr. Charles Onyeneke in honor Mrs.
Veronica Ulumma Chinenyenwa Onyeneke, a woman of deep faith, compassion, and
dedication to helping others. Her lifelong commitment to uplifting the
vulnerable and empowering her community serves as the inspiration behind our
foundation’s mission. We continue her legacy by providing education,
empowerment, and support to children, youths, and widows in need.
At
the core of our mission is the belief that everyone deserves access to
education, economic opportunities, and basic human dignity. We focus on
uplifting the lives of children, youths, widows, orphans, and displaced
individuals by providing scholarships, vocational training, financial aid,
healthcare, and other essential support services.
The
foundation addresses critical challenges such as poverty, lack of access to
quality education, youth unemployment, and the welfare of vulnerable groups,
including people living with disabilities and those affected by conflict or
natural disasters. Through targeted programs and strategic partnerships, we aim
to create lasting change and empower individuals to build brighter futures for
themselves and their communities.
Our work extends beyond just providing immediate aid — we strive to empower people with the tools and skills they need to become self-sufficient and active contributors to their societies. From educational scholarships to agricultural development and leadership training, we are committed to promoting long-term solutions that foster sustainable growth and development.
Inspired
by his late mother Veronica Onyeneke's lifelong commitment to charity, Rev. Fr.
Charles Onyeneke, Founder and Chairman of the Veronica Onyeneke Foundation, is
a Catholic priest devoted to serving humanity. Emulating his mother's
compassion and generosity, Fr. Onyeneke has dedicated his life to alleviating
poverty and empowering the disadvantaged. Under his leadership, the foundation
remains a shining beacon of hope for the poor and marginalized, providing
essential services in education, healthcare, and economic empowerment. Through
tireless efforts, the foundation transforms the lives of thousands across
Africa, standing as a pillar of hope for those in need
Our
mission is to relieve poverty and uplift vulnerable individuals and communities
by providing access to education, economic empowerment, healthcare, and support
services. We are dedicated to promoting the welfare of children, youths,
widows, and marginalized groups, helping them become self-sufficient and
achieve their full potential.
Through the Veronica Onyeneke Institute of Entrepreneurship (VOIE), we empower young people with practical skills and business training. Our programs help them start small enterprises, gain employable skills, and build sustainable livelihoods. We believe in transforming passion into purpose and ideas into impact.
We provide scholarships, mentorship, and learning resources to bright students from low-income families ensuring that financial hardship never stands in the way of education and opportunity.
We promote access to basic healthcare through medical aid, awareness campaigns, and partnerships with health providers because good health is the foundation of a meaningful life.
Through our food outreach and nutrition initiatives, we support families facing hunger and malnutrition, ensuring no one is left behind in the fight for dignity and wellbeing.
We create opportunities for young people to lead, innovate, and grow through mentorship, leadership training, and creative development programs helping them shape a better future for themselves and their communities.
